Moments in Light

This website is simply a spot for me to share some of my better photos (generally landscape photos). I chose the name "Moments in Light" simply because of the reference to the usual "moments in time" combined with the obvious "light" used in creating an image (and the correct or interesting use of light of course being vital to creating interesting images).

And of course, if in the process I can make a few people aware of some worthwhile charities, then that's even better.

What are the terms of license?

Images on this website are covered by a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 2.5 Australia License. Please follow the link for details.

This means that for personal use you can download and use any image for free. For commercial use, please contact us at the info email address mentioned at the top of the website. Depending on the use envisaged, a license will probably be granted for free or if not, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to one of the charities listed on this website.

Finally, I'm hoping that if people enjoy using these images for free (for personal use), they might feel inclined to give something back and donate to some of the charities I've mentioned.

Why a watermark on the large resolution images?

Just to remind people (hopefully in a subtle enough way so as to not be annoying) where the photo came from and hopefully draw more visitors to this site.

If you'd ever like a copy at a higher resolution (currently max resolution is 1680 pixels, plenty for use as a desktop background) or without the watermark, just send us an email.
